Currently, I am doing a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University under the supervision of Dr. Partha Sarkar. I am also working as a Research and Teaching Assistant here at the Department of Aerospace Engineering. Previously, during my undergraduate thesis research, my partners and I studied droplet dynamics to understand the previously unexplored phenomena of a present single square surface discontinuity in the wall of a T-junction downstream of the droplet. The findings from our thesis were presented at ATE - HEFAT 2021, where, our paper was awarded the best paper on multiphase flow 1. Later, I numerically investigated heat transfer performance and flow dynamics in a rib-roughened narrow channel. My research uncovered an intricate interplay between the turbulence kinetic energy and turbulence eddy dissipation rate concerning the thermal performance of the channel. In addition, I have authored a chapter for the Springer Nature Handbook of Smart Energy Systems on the uncertainty quantification in a surrogate model with a focus on the nuclear industry. My subsequent research works include performance improvement of a Savonius vertical axis wind turbine; stability and sensitivity analysis of a Darrieus wind turbine CFD simulations; melting enhancement of latent heat thermal storage system; and study of natural convection in a trapezoidal cavity.
